is the product of poetry therapy. She has been writing for years with
extreme influences such as Sonia Sanchez, Lucille Clifton, and Zora
Neal Hurston. K. Desireé mustered the courage to perform in 2003 at
Paine College after meeting Sonia Sanchez and has not been off the
stage for more than a week since. Taking cues from the renaissance era
and non-traditional writers, K. Desireé writes from an honest place and
hopes that something resonates in the minds of all she encounters.
